"Gonna rise up, fine my connection magnetically" - EV

If you can recall, to celebrate my Blog's 500th post, I made a list of my "Top 5." Now, Monica (Friends) would argue that I need a boyfriend before I can make this list...well I'm throwing the rules out of the window, and not only did I make a Top 5, but I'm adding to it!

6) Emile Hirsch -- This young man probably should have made it to the Top 5, but I guess I was out of my mind. I fell in love with him in the movie "The Girl Next Door" when he talked about moral
fiber, that was it.

Then came "Into the Wild" which definitely makes my top 15 list of great movies, maybe top 10 (I'll need to post that later, huh?). The man's got charm and knowledge. But, in this movie, he was completely perfect. You believed in his quest to find himself, and all of his moved made sense. I know it's just a movie, but it's a GREAT movie that I could go on about forever.

But, this list is about hottness so...He's cute, he's hot, and he always picks great roles.

7) James McAvoy -- I first noticed this hott man in the first Narnia. (Why does that always happen...I always find cute guys in children's movies...ahhhh) Oooo la la, Mr. Faun.

Have you seen "Atonement"? I'm probably the only person in the world who wasn't in love with that movie (the ending just messed the whole film up for me) but the library scene? OHMYGOOOOOOODNESS. Also, it's rumored that Mister Faun will be playing Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit"...verrry excited about that (even if they make his feet nasty and hobbit-y)!!!

Ohh yeah..and his accent is HOT!

8) Will Friedle -- Who hasn't loved this man since "Boy Meets World"? He's soooo cute, lovable, and even though I know he was just a character on a show, his goofy charm won me over at the ripe age of 9.

He does mostly voice-over stuff now (Kim Possible) but I wish he would come out in a movie...because I misssssss him!

9) Robert Downey Jr. -- First of all, this man has survived the 80s, 90s, and 00s, and although he had some rough times (the 80s, 90s, and 00s) he has still survived looking hot. In this year's Ironman proved that Jr. could stand the test of time...while looking hotter than ever.

I first fell in love with Robert in "Less Than Zero" where he was a MESSED UP teenager "trying" to turn his life around. It didn't really work out, but still, he was a good actor. Then, I came across a few others (I still need to see "The Pick Up Artist."

(I would have put a still from "Ironman" but I didn't like his facial hair in that movie, aaaaaaand this is my blog, so I can be as shallow as I wish...as Kathy Griffin would say "suck it [Jesus]")

10) Prince Harry -- What would a Top 10 list be without some royalty?

Where should I start? Most people are attracted to Will...he's cute..but Harry is definitely more appealing...to me at least.

While in "real life" I am not attracted to the "bad boy" in complete fantasy, I am. Harry is the ultimate bad boy. He's rich, he's hot, he comes from a VERY good family (duh), and he has red hair. Completely appealing? Totally.

As much as his family may try to break him, Prince Harry can never be tamed. As some consider him the "black sheep" of the family, and consider Wills the golden child, Harry will always be the hotter of the two.

Also, his cheeks do this thing when they get all flushed. Most of the time this happens to some guys when they're bashful or embarrassed, and Harry does it to. I think it is soooooooo cute!

YUM! (not Yum-O because rrsux.com)

In case you were wondering, the quote as title are some lyrics to the song "RIse" by Eddie Vedder from the soundtrack to "Into the Wild." Like I said, GREAT movie...if you haven't seen it, SERIOUSLY go rent it NOW! And, if for SOME reason you don't like the movie...at least you have something pretty to look at!

Whaaaaat?

THEY ARE MAKING A MOVIE OUT OF ANGELS AND DEMONS!!!!!!!!

OK. I love Dan Brown novels...everything except "The Da Vinci Code" (I actually think the movie was better than the book) and my FAVORITE novel by him is "Angels and Demons" (think pre-quel to Code)!!!!

I'm soooo excited!! It's supposed to come out in May 2009! Yeyah!

(it would be really kick ass if they made a movie for "Deception Point" too!)

There was a pause for research..IMDb tells me that Tom Hanks in going to play the lead role again...errr. I love Tom Hanks...just not in Code...maybe he'll be better now?

(read the book and you'll get the image)

--Sidenote...There may be another "loyal reader" visiting this page! I hope my posts don't bore you to tears!

Update

I know, I know. Where the hell have I been?

Life in Asheville. Everything I always wanted.

Like I've said in a previous post. My first day here was a little rough. I was worried because EVERYONE from school wasn't going to be here. Buuuuuuuuut. I think I'm ok now.

On the first night I was here, we had a "mandatory" meeting with the three RAs that are actually here this summer. I say "mandatory" because six residents showed up. But it's ok. Because I met Lindsay Carver!

We started hanging out and it was GREAT! Because I have a friend who lives about 2 minutes away in The Village. Thank goooooooodness.

I feel more at home here than ever. When I was here during the year, Randy was here. And even after we broke up, he was still here. My security blanket, if you will. I always had someone to go to Wal-Mart with or the mall or something.

That was the hardest part, I think.

I'm totally over him. Actually, I was over him about 3 months before it was over. But he was still a good friend who knew me very well. He's still a friend, don't get me wrong. But I've learned I can live without him. Being here by myself this summer just cements that I can DO THIS! I'm alone (ok, not really, but you know..) and I'm handling it pretty well.

I miss my friends from home. But I don't really miss home. My parents are making me come home this weekend...and I guess that's ok. I guess.

Classes are ok.

I'm taking HWP 153 which is Health and Wellness Promotion. It's ok. It's 10:15am Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday...which sucks. Because as much as I've tried. I can't become a morning person. (I mean it is 2:30 am and I'm still awake and writing you..)

I'm also taking Econ 101. Which is Macro Economics. Ew. I know.
It's ok, I guess. John Bricker is the teacher..and he's ok. He just had a daughter so he gushes about her a lot. Which is cool because she's not there to cry or anything (If we don't all know my stance on children...I don't like children...at alllllll).

So, yeah. I work out three days a week, and get picked on by Brad because I wear earrings in the gym. Whatever. I like my earrings. Ohh...and Brad (the teacher) has a different pair of Nike Shox for EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR and he likes to match them to his workout attire. And I get picked on because I wear jewelry? Haha.

So, that's classes.
Eh.

I can't sleep...and it's making me mad. Because when I was home for "summer," I slept alllllll day and stayed up allllll night. But, when I got here, I started going to bed at 11, and waking up at 8, and everything was honky dory. But now I'm back to my old habits. I guess they really do die hard, huh?

Today, I was doing laundry and cleaning up (I really need to take pictures of my room. Everyone who comes in is like "WHOOOA Picture City!" (lets just say that I have the BEST view in Asheville because of my window). But I was around, and I finally figured it out.

I'm restless. I'm happy with where I am (location wise) but I'm still pretty clueless about what I want to do with my life. If I want to go to Grad School or what. I'm at that place where there's SO much behind me, and still SOOOOO much in front of me, not planned. Just sitting there.

What to do, what to do.

Ohh, I think I have another reader! Amanda Alvarez finally found this thing and cracked up on my crack down on wedding threats. One more loyal reader! Sort of.

I'm very ADD at the moment, and I can't figure out what I'm trying to say, if anything.

Blah.

I think that's all, for now. I'll put some pictures up from the time I've been here...I've gotta get some more for you!!

-- Me and Alvarez after SEX AND THE CITY!!!!!

No No No No No.

ANOTHER one of my friends got engaged this week.

Again, don't take my (fillinemotionhere) as hatred of love, or of the person in it.

Take it as EXTREME FRUSTRATION.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY.

WTF?

This sucks!

And now I have to go to another wedding.

If this is how the twenties are, they suckkkkkkkk. And I've got 9 more years.

Blah.

A-Town.

Guess what I see when I look out of my window?

KENNY GEORGE'S ROOM! Hell yes!

I'm in Ashevillllllle!

I'm all moved in (by myself..that SUCKED). I'm in a suite in Governor's Hall. I'm the only person in a 4 bedroom suite. I'm trying to decide if that's a good thing.

On the one hand, it is almost 2 am and I have music BLARING, lights on, tv on, and I'm happy with it. On the other hand...it's REAL lonely 'round these parts. The housing office told me that 56 people are living in the dorms this summer. Whoaaaaa.

But anyway. I'm here. I was having a hard time at first because I had to leave a day early. Well, not really early. I knew I needed to be here by the third, I just thought the third was Wednesday, not Tuesday. So I had to REALLY scramble to get everything packed (I had to leave behind a few things...dammit). But, I'm here.

I think I'll feel better once classes start and I see how they're going to go. Maybe not. But I'm here, dammit.

I have TWO bathrooms. Sort of. There are two "bathrooms" one with a sink and toilet (which is currently stopped-up (it was like that BEFORE I came here, thank you very much)) and the other has a shower and a sink. My suite is also handicapped. Which means that the shower is THE BIGGEST SHOWER EVER! I seriously have to get some pictures of this bad boy. Lets just say that I have the awesomest prop to shave my legs on EVER! I also kind of filled up the bathroom with the toilet. It's RIGHT across from my door, and I have so much stuff I was able to do so. Go me!

Now I'm listening to music, and starring out of my window. I FINALLY HAVE A WINDOW! The other two years I've lived in dorms, I've always sacrificed my window for my roommate. BUT NOW I'VE GOT IT!!! Outside of my window is a lovely view of the courtyard/breezeway, the track, and the baseball field. COOL.

Ohh, and Kenny George's room. (My dad wants to meet him sooo bad!)

Every other time I've lived in a dorm, I was always stuck on the first floor. Ugh. Now I'm on the THRID!! Yeyah! But, it never fails, I'm on the back side of the dorm. But, for the first time, I've got something other than a parking lot to look at!

N'Sync just came on my iTunes. And guess what I can do about it?

That's right....hairbrush in hand!

My horoscope today says I can do this...I'm not so convinced.
